Dr Christoph von Burgsdorff, LL.M. (Partner, Luther Lawfirm)
Dr Christoph von Burgsdorff is a certified specialist lawyer for commercial and corporate law and a partner at Luther in Hamburg. His areas of expertise include international contract law, foreign trade, and trade finance – including Incoterms® and letters of credit. He also regularly advises companies in the healthcare and life sciences sectors. Together with ICC Germany, he played a key role in the conception and development of the Incoterms® Digital Guide. He studied in Kiel (Germany) and the UK and has been with Luther since 2003. He was recently recognized again by Handelsblatt and BestLawyers for his work in the categories Litigation, Arbitration and Trade Law in the 2026 edition.
Dr Robert Burkert (Counsel, Luther Lawfirm)
Dr Robert Burkert specializes in international contract and trade law, with a particular focus on the application of the Incoterms® 2020 and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). He is a certified Incoterms® trainer by the ICC, a member of the ICC Commission on Commercial Law and Practice, and regularly advises on digital contract design. Together with ICC Germany, he was significantly involved in the conception and implementation of the Incoterms® Digital Guide. Dr Burkert studied in Bielefeld, earned his doctorate on digital distribution systems, and has been with Luther in Hamburg since 2019.
Ulla Fabricius (Attorney at Law, Partner, Njord Law)
Ulla Fabricius advises in the areas of international transport and trade including logistic contracts, standard conditions for sale and purchase, carriage by sea, road, air and rail as well as combinations of these. She has significant experience in drafting and negotiating complex logistics agreements and transport concepts. In this capacity, she participated in the drafting of Incoterms 2010, Incoterms 2020, and UCP 600, thus possessing in-depth knowledge of risk management in international trade relations. Ulla authored the chapter on transport legislation in EU Karnov and contributed the chapter on freight agreements in the 2022 updated version of Karnov Business Law. Furthermore, she has taught maritime and transport law as non-tenured associate professor at the Copenhagen Business School.
