About the Incoterms®2020 Digital Guide by ICC Germany & Luther

Guidance in the choice of rules

The Incoterms® 2020 Digital Guide by Luther Law firm and ICC Germany offers an initial orientation in your Incoterms®2020 choice. This interactive guide is provided to assist you with choosing the fitting Incoterms® rule to your individual transaction. The results may surprise users of EXW- and DDP-rules!

Deciding which of the 11 Incoterms® 2020 rules to include in a B2B sales contract is not always easy for the contracting parties, whether they are prospective exporters/ importers or experienced traders. Choosing an Incoterms® rule that is inappropriate, outdated or in conflict with other contractual provisions or related contracts can lead to misunderstandings and unintended risks. To help sellers and buyers choose the right Incoterms® rule for their B2B sales contract, Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH, the ICC and ICC Germany have developed the Incoterms® 2020 Digital Guide.
